Known as both a “passionate philanthropist” and a “dedicated musician”, Adams has dreams to one day be a powerful influence in creating new works that advocate social change.

Adams is the founding director of the non-profit group Equilibrium Youth, which seeks to change the perspectives on youth through the arts. During the summer of 2009, with a goal to create new works that advocate social change, Adams was awarded a grant from the United Way to lead a team of young artists to create a CD that portrayed the adverse effects of stereotyping through music.

As an innovative leader, Adams has shown a recent interest in the effects of program music on audiences, and is taking measures to diffuse this idea. In the summer of 2011, he gave a lecture-recital entitled “The Future of Programmatic Music in Social Change” as part of the St. Andrews Arts Council Sanctuary Recital Series.

Adams’ most recent endeavor includes composing a programmatic work for violin & tape that portrays the adverse effects of silence endused by forced censorship of sexual orientation. The work is scheduled to be premiered in 2014 in observance of GLSEN's National Day of Silence. Visit Something Less Said for more information.
